Christopher Marley is an acclaimed American artist who uses natural artifacts as his medium of expression. To create this work, he collects specimens in an environmentally responsible manner from a worldwide network of people who share his passion for nature.

This framed insect collage features longhorn and azure beetles with specimens of the butterfly genus Pareronia set in a hexagonal array. The insects are presented in a shadowbox with a white background under glass with a black frame. The piece has an embossed signature underneath the collage to the lower right with an explanatory label to the back.
